Note: This story is meant to reflect how the Eds would see the episode Dawn of the
EDs, if they'd gone through the Space Outlaw series 1-3 first. At least that is
how I interpret it.

Where we left off is back on earth, after the incapacitation of Lord Kharn
(Kevlinn), where the Eds are in their rooms. In the morning, the Eds see the
terrified look on all the others’ faces.
“What’s going on?” Eddy said. “Look.” McGranth said as he pointed on the TV.
“…the aliens have destroyed the city of Oahu, Hawaii and are now leaving the
earth’s atmosphere. What are they gonna do? Plan out for another destruction
scheme? Take another…”
“…those poor people in Hawaii…” Double D said as he frowned.
“They can’t do this to us!” Eddy said, “Guys, prepare your stuff, we’re going
to outer space!”
“Eddy, no!” McKenzie shouted. “What do you want to sacrifice, the Earth, or
us?”
McKenzie is afraid of this to happen, but in a few moments, he turned his face
off Eddy.
The Eds went to their dorms and geared up. Then they headed to their ship.
Eddy ibstructs, “The ship will launch in T-10s.”

The Eds get to their seats.

They stripped on their seatbelts.

“I’m ready!” Ed shouts in a rushed face

“Engines prepared at 100% blast.” Double D says

“Neuro net online.” Eddy says

“Weapons online.” Ed says

“Boosters online.” Double D says

“All systems go!!!” Eddy says

“Liftoff!!!” Double D says and presses the Launch button.
The ship launches 800 mph into the sky.
In a few minutes, the flame effect in front of the ship faded. They had left
the atmosphere. The ship had stopped moving.
“Double D, scan coordinates to this alien craft immediately.” Eddy said
“Roger. The craft is located at positions A3F9” Double D said
“You heard him Ed, let’s go!”
“Roger Wilco, Eddy!” Ed says
Ed drives the ship to the coordinate, 15 minutes later, the ship went
absolutely offline.
“Status.” Eddy offered.
“Power is down.” Double D said as he was scared.
“AAArrgh!!!”
“Guys, we’re moving the wrong way.”
“What the-!!”
Double D was right; the ship was tilting and moving the wrong way. Then the
ship moved faster, and faster.
“If this keeps up, we’ll be sucked through a time portal, I bet!!!” Double D
shouted due to the speed of the ship.
The Eds kept screaming until the ship quickly zipped in a time portal.
There were echoes in the time tunnel.
“Guys?” Double D said in a certain scared way, “We’re in the time portal.”
“Coooool…” Ed and Eddy said.
3 minutes later, they were out of the time portal and in a forbidden planet.
The ship was aiming down at the surface of the planet.
“ED, PULL UP!” Eddy shouted
“CAN’T!” Ed shouted, “POWER IS STILL OFFLINE! EVERYONE, BRACE FOR IMPACT!!!”
“NOT COOL, NOT COOL! AAAAARRRGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!” Everyone screamed. Then all of a
sudden, CRASH!!!! The ship landed head straight on the ground.
1 hour later, the Eds recovered from unconsciousness. Once they all got out of
the crashed ship, the Eds knew they were on a distant planet. Good thing they
got their stuff out of their crashed ship.
“Double D, scan.” Eddy commanded.
“It seems that there is no life in this planet. Guys…we’re the only ones on the
planet.” Double D says.
“Are you saying this planet is deserted?” Ed says
“Exactly. Come in earth, come in Earth.” Double D says on the radio “Come in
Earth, I repeat, come in Earth…There’s no response.” Double D says louder,
“THERE’S NO RESPONSE!!”
“Are you saying…WE’RE STRANDED!?” Eddy says in a tight, scared way.
“Guys, let’s take a look around.” Ed says.
The Eds take a look around this planet.
“Um…guys?” Double D says, “According to this scanner, this planet is…Earth.”
“WHAT!?” Ed and Eddy shout
“No doubt.”
“Whoa…”
All of a sudden, the Eds hear screams.
“Um…Double D?” Eddy says, “Check the scanner again.”
“Whoops, I didn’t see that.” Double D said, “Over there.”
He points to where the scream is, as the Eds get closer and closer, they see a
glow of fire. Another scream comes, and there were cracks and machinery and
slimy sounds. The Eds take a peek in what that was. It was a giant robot with a
cowboy hat and a metal logo torch. He’s eating a sandwich with entrails in it.
The Eds retreat back to their crashed ship.
“Guys, I’ve seen these robots before.” says Ed, “A guy told me a campfire story
about that, and he had a drawing that looked exactly like the robot we just
saw. There’s not much time left until he squeezes the life out of us and grinds
our bones to make his bread. WE MUST FIND SHELTER!!!!” Ed’s voice echoed.
Double D made his diary:
Edd’s log: Day 1
Somehow our ship lifted off and we drove to where the alien craft is, all of a
sudden, our ship became inconclusively offline and something pulled us so fast,
we went through time and crashed on Earth, in a different year. We are lost in
this distant planet that was extinct hours ago. We heard screams on this planet
and checked it out; somehow we have seen life on this planet…for a little
while. Why? There is a giant robot that is killing humans and eating them. Ed
gives details about this robot. We are marooned… Right now we are finding
shelter to keep safe from the robot. Somehow there is no food, nor water on
this planet. Good thing we packed C-Rations in our ship.
3 hours later…
“What’re we searching for again?” Edd asked
“A cave. To hide from the robot we have to find a cave. C’mon, c’mon, not much
farther.” Ed says
“You said that an hour ago, Ed.” Eddy excuses, “We’re never gonna find a ca--.”
Eddy sees some sort of nice building, yet small. He jumps through a curtain
entrance. Ed and Double D open the curtain.
“Hey, guys.” Eddy says, “Come on in. Enjoy the fine, shag, fluffy carpeting,”
Eddy jumps on a wobbly surface. “And the wa-a-a-aterbed.”
Ed and Double D jump on the waterbed. Eddy goes to another room with buttons
and wheels. Eddy presses a button that plays “La Cucaracha,” then the sound
slows and fades.
“Boys, welcome to ‘CENTRAL COMMAND!!!’” Eddy says happily.
Ed and Double D sighed with joy.
Edd’s Log: Day 2, 53 hours
It seems that we’ve found a safe place to keep alive from that robot. Eddy
found this building, it was comfortable. It had lovely carpeting and a soft
wobbly waterbed. Impressive eyesight, Eddy. I hope we have enough time, enough
weapons, and enough food to survive.
23 hours later…
“Guys, we can’t just stay here forever.” Double D said.
“He’s right, Ed.” Eddy says to Ed.
“Okey-dokey.” Ed said.
“We have to find a way out of this planet and time. The only thing we can do is
build a rocket that has compact boosters, auto speed, and time calculator.”
“Ok. Ed, you keep an eye out for robots while we get started on building a
rocket. You got it?”
“Got it, Eddy.”
Edd’s Log: Day 3, 76 hours
We’re going to build a rocket to get out of this place. We’re not here to stand
here forever. So, we’re getting out of this place. First, I’m going to build a
prototype version to see if I need to add on some stuff.
3 minutes later…
“So, Double D, how is it.” Eddy asked
“Well Eddy,” Double D says, “It’s a prototype so I ha--.”
“Let me see it.” Eddy gets in the cockpit. “Hey, there’s only one seat. Why’d
you put in only one seat, Double D?”
“Well, I told you. It’s a prototype. Once we’re done with the test THEN I’ll
build the real one.”
“On your mark, Double D.”
“Roger, but first…you should put this on for safety.” Double D gives Eddy a
helmet.
Double D pulled the lever. The rocket
rose and faced upward to the sky, then in a few seconds, it lift off. But the
rocket couldn’t withstand the speed that is shattered into pieces. Double D
then pushes a button on a remote, which released a parachute on the driver’s
backpack.
“Well, good thing the parachute works.” Double D says as he throws the remote
away which it lands on the button. The parachute on the driver’s backpack was
detached. Eddy then fell on Double D’s back.
“Hey, Double D, the rocket needs work.”
Double D shouts as he is choked “ACK…I-IT’S A PROTOTYPE!!!”
When Double D and Eddy recover, they hear Ed shouting from a distance, “THE
ROBOTS ARE COMING!!!”
The Eds hide behind a boulder while Ed peeks as he sees the robots coming
closer. He puts up a signal, in 3…2…1…
“ATTACK!!!” Ed shouts. The Eds get their guns and shoot at the robots.
“FIRE ATOMIC BLASTERS!!! GIGANTIC LASER BEAM!!! PLASMA BEAM
CANNON!!!”
The robots couldn’t withstand the power, so they retreated.
“Whew, what a close battle.” Double D said while he was sweating and panting, “But
I bet there’s gonna be a robot army WE can’t withstand.”
“Then we must make haste, for it is time to build a rocket and I want to live.”
Ed said
“What’s up with you?” Eddy says
“Oh, sorry. I’ll go back to see if there’s an army coming, because if we come
in battle without knowing it, we will be killed quickly and mercilessly.”
15 hours later…
Edd’s Log: Day 4, 91 hours
Well, it seems we’ve got in a fight with robots. We won for the first time, but
there will be more later on We finally finished the rocket. It has boosters,
extra seats, space suits, parachutes, upgraded armor, weapons, and a time and
speed calculator so we can get back to our own year. But first things first,
it’s time for sleep.
The Eds slept for 8 hours, and when they woke up, they saw what they saw:
Blood…bones…gibs…
“Guys, look.” Eddy points at some sort of giant space ferry. It was called
“Vortex Rikers.”
“And look, an entrance.” Double D pointed at a vent tube. “Guys, we’re going
in. Get your weapons.”
The Eds go in the vent, but they see a way up, there is no ladder. Ed lifted
Eddy and Double D up in the ferry.
“Sorry guys, but you’re on your own. Good luck.” Ed says.
Eddy and Double D were by themselves.
“Eddy, find some far, open areas.” Double D ordered.
Eddy goes across a bridge. He finds a lift.
“Double D, stay close to me.” Eddy orders.
Double D follows Eddy to the lift which lowered them to a lower level.
Eddy and Double D go through a hall to a med lab. It has a door ahead, but it
was locked. All of a sudden, Eddy hears voices on the other side.
“@#$%!"
All of a sudden, Eddy hears what on the other lab-level.
"Blood...ket doesn'trooperor."
"WHAT THE HECK IS THAT!?”
Then Eddy heard gunshots and screams and chokes, and then in a few seconds, it
stopped. Eddy quickly stood back when the door opened.
Beyond that door, Eddy and Double D were paralyzed. There were corpses on the
floors and tables and some hanging on metal ceiling.
Eddy and Double D each took one step forward, nothing happened, then another,
still nothing. Then they expected nothing happened anymore.
They went in the computer room where there was a dead man on a chair. They
became freaked out. Then they find a tunnel, and went into it.
“Smelly, smelly, smelly.” Double D complained.
Edd’s Log: Day 5, 103 hours
Somehow we found a space ferry when we woke up, we are now taking a look
around. Eddy and me only. This ferry was called “Vortex Rikers.” A nice name to
a giant ferry. We are now checking out to see if there are any people alive.
Out the tunnel, they find themselves in a prison room.
“Oh, thank goodness you are here! You’ve come to rescue us, right?” a man said.
“Ash…is that you?” Double D said.
“Double D?” the man said.
“Well, whaddaya know, we meet again. It’s a good thing you’re here. But how?”
“Well, I was alone and some robots came and imprisoned me.”
“Hmph. Well, it’s a good thing we’re here. How can I get you guys out?”
“There is a code pad next to every prison cell; they all have the same pass
code. The pass code is 5734. Don’t ask. I just saw a robot punch them in.”
Double D presses the pass code on every prison cell and releases the people
alive.
“OK. Now let’s get outta here before more robots come.” Double D orders.
Everybody gets out of the ferry.
Ed looks at Eddy, Double D, and all the rescued people, “Holy mackerel! Hey,
Double D. While you were gone, I added extra suits, some monkey bars, poles,
and ring swings in your rocket. Just in case if you rescued any people.
“Whew, thanks a lot, Ed.” Double D thanked.
“No prob.”
Then all of a sudden, everybody heard footsteps from a distance.
“Oh my…they’re coming…” Double D said with a frightened face.
“Guys, get in, get in!!!” Ed commanded.
Everybody hopped in the rocket. The rocket is ready to blast off.
Eddy instructs, “The rocket will launch in T-10s.”

The rocket launches with 1,000 mph into the sky.
In a few minutes, the flame effect in front of the rocket faded. They had left
the atmosphere.
“Alright guys, we’re out of the atmosphere and in outer space!” Eddy said in a
cheerful way
Everybody cheered.
“So, Double D, what year are you in?” Ash asked.
“We’re in the year 20XX.” Double D said
“Whoa…exactly the same year we’re in.”
“Breathtaking.”
Edd’s Log: Conclusion
It was close, but somehow we’ve managed to escape. We’ve rescued the people
that are still alive, even my friend Ash Kurga.
It’s all over now. We’ve escaped.
“Hang on, guys. We’re going back.” Eddy says and activates the time and speed
calculator, set to 20XX. Speed required: 3000 mph
They pulled a switch, set the speed, and zipped through a time portal. They
made it back to their own year. All of a sudden…
INCOMING TRANSMISSION
“Hello.” Double D answered
“I knew you made a rocket.” That was the voice of McKenzie
“Mr. McKenzie, is that you?”
“In the flesh, Edward."
"Hey, I need to tell you something.”
“Fire away.”
“You know about the alien craft?”
“Yes.”
“They have fled due to an unknown ship attacking them, they must have been arch
rivals all the time.”
“Intriguing.”
“Well, we’re coming back home. It’s a long story. And uh…we’re bringing lots of
friends along.”
“Very well. I’m signing out now.”
END OF TRANSMISSION
The Eds and everybody else have returned to Earth peacefully. Happily ever
after, everybody has lived.
